About Us
Welcome to the Mead Road Allotment website. Park your wellies and peruse this page.
The vagaries of local government in the twenty first century mean Mead Road Allotment, like all the others in Bromley, is now a limited company. In reality we are a group of local people who love growing vegetables and plants, the social interaction, exercise, fresh air and helping look after this oasis of calm in the south east suburbs of Greater London. We believe our allotment plots are a huge benefit to the whole of our community.
We have a club pavilion, a communal area and zones set aside for re-wilding and to encourage beneficial wildlife.
We are not authoritarian or overly burdened with rules and expectations. Nor are we a competitive bunch who are incessantly trying to outdo each other. Mead Road Allotment is a place where the only stress you might face is that caused by slugs, snails, pigeons and parakeets!

Join Us
We are always happy to have new people join us. Usually we have one or two plots become available each year. Lockdown has brought an increased interest in allotmenteering as people look for new ways of using their time and bettering their health and wellbeing. At present we have nine people on our waiting list.
If you are interested in joining us and finding out more simply send us an email or better still, complete the contact form below. Somebody will gladly show you around and answer any of your questions.
